Critter Be-Gone Spray!

Essential Oils

Every summer tiny little critters try and invade my home. They come in, try and steal my food with their hundreds of tiny little friends and then never want to leave. It’s my least favorite part of the warm weather arriving. You know what I’m talking about right?! Ugh.

So last year I made this spray! I used it 2-3 times and then… they were gone. And they didn’t come back! #saywhaaaa?! I was so excited! So today, when those tiny black critters decided to mount an invasion again, I quickly whipped up this spray!

I spray this all over where those tiny black critters were invading and then I also sprayed down the door jams and entry ways as well. Yes, that is a lot of drops for a tiny spray bottle. You want it strong! That’s one of the reasons it works so well! I even sprayed everything down, whipped up a second round and sprayed everything again. I’ll keep an eye on those areas over the next few days and if they come back, I’ll do it again. Like I said, I had to do it 2-3 times last summer but then I didn’t have to worry about it the rest of the season!

Just add your essential oils to your glass spray bottle:

  • 10 drops Peppermint
  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 10 drops Cinnamon
  • 5 drops Citronella
  • 5 drops Lemon

Fill the rest of the way with water, then give it a little shake and spray wherever needed!

Last summer I didn’t have Citronella and it worked great without it. But this year, I snagged myself a bottle of Citronella! It’s a great insect deterrent and works very well in this mix! You can also use it to make a Camping Spray or diffuse it indoors or outdoors to discourage any bugs!

Now go conquer your home back – without the toxic chemicals!
